Ashley Knoll of The Woodlands captured the 2014 Texas Women’s Open title on Wednesday at Rolling Hills Country Club in Arlington, claiming the victory by three strokes over runner-up Ashlan Ramsey of Milledgeville, Georgia.
Knoll, a graduate of The Woodlands High School, shot a 6-under-par 65 on the final day of the competition after shooting an even-par 71 on Day 1. She finished with a two-day total of 136.
Knoll spent her prep career with the Lady Highlanders, a stint which included a pair of individual UIL Class 5A state titles in 2000 and 2003. She also was a member of The Woodlands’ teams that won three consecutive team state titles from 2001 to 2003.click here for complete story
