Luken Baker had the Oak Ridge baseball community fired up this week with an impressive display of power.

The incoming senior DH/pitcher smashed seven home runs Monday night to claim the 2014 Major League Baseball Junior Select Home Run Derby championship at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minn.

“It was awesome,” Oak Ridge coach Mike Pirtle said. We knew he was a great hitter but he hits balls so hard on the line I was pleasantly surprised that he got to do it.”

The TCU verbal pledge shined on a big stage, too, in front of thousands of fans and a host of MLB All-Stars, including the Los Angeles Angels’ Mike Trout. click HERE for complete story
