Former A&M Consolidated quarterback and catcher Lance Harvell has been hired as an assistant baseball coach at Sam Houston State.

Former Texas A&M assistant Matt Deggs completed his first staff as head coach Thursday by naming Harvell to head his recruiting. Jay Sirianni will be pitching coach. Shane Wedd will be volunteer assistant and Gary Miller will handle operations. Harvell was at Louisiana-Lafayette for the last two seasons as a volunteer assistant working with Deggs, who was the Ragin’ Cajuns hitting coach and recruiting coordinator. click here fpr complete story
