Volleyball: Oak Ridge stays steady to sweep Tomball Memorial

Brooke Clark and Victoria Harris led Oak Ridge to its seventh win of the season, chipping in 17 and 15 kills, respectively, against Tomball Memorial on Tuesday night.

Oak Ridge (7-2) extended its winning streak to four matches, downing Tomball Memorial (1-8) in three sets, 25-18, 25-23, 25-15.

“I feel like we came out very aggressive,” Oak Ridge head coach Tommie Lynn Sledge said. “We really pushed some of the things we’ve been working on. We need to work on our serves a little bit — we struggled with that. Other than that, again, I was very proud of their aggressiveness, their steadiness on the court not getting razzled or frazzled. They played very consistent.”

Every set began with Oak Ridge and Tomball Memorial trading off points before the Lady War Eagles were able to piece together a run en route to winning the sets.
