Conroe’s offensive line took the fight to Nimitz on opening night at W.W. Thorne Stadium, and the Tigers scored an impressive technical knockout.
Conroe bolted to a 28-0 halftime lead and put it on cruise control in the second half, burying the Cougars 49-6 on Thursday. Dontrell Dock, the Tigers’ senior tailback, rushed for 148 yards and a second-quarter touchdown on 12 carries. Backup Thomas Shirer had nine carries for 46 yards.
