A Kingwood High School student-athlete recently won a gold medal for Team USA in the 800-meter race at the Youth Olympic Games held in Nanjing, China.

Myles Marshall, a senior at KHS, is the two-time defending 800-meter UIL state champion and ranked No. 2 in the world in the event. The Mustang sprinter’s appearance at the games was the close of a very busy summer for Marshall.

After defending his gold medal at the state championships on the Mustangs track team in May, Marshall continued to train and compete through the summer and earned a spot on the U.S. track and field team. click here for complete story
