College Park kept its postseason hopes alive with a 42-28 victory over Summer Creek on Saturday evening at Woodforest Bank Stadium, thanks in large part to a tenacious running attack.

The Cavaliers (2-6, 1-4) racked up 324 yards, including a whopping 246 on the ground on their way to a crucial District 16-6A victory. Running back A.J. Sanders led the way with 141 yards on 22 carries.
“As long as we keep believing, we’re going to be fine,” College Park coach Richard Carson said. “I told everybody, we’re going to come down to the last week of the season trying to play for a playoff spot. I am very proud of our kids.”
Despite surrendering 367 yards, College Park’s defense held highly-touted running back De’Unte Chatman at bay. The Cavs limited the district’s second-leading rusher to 73 yards, including seven carries for only one yard in the first half. click here for complete story
