The Leadership Montgomery County (LMC) Class of 2015 recently got a look into various aspects of education in the county at their Education Session on November 6. The session was sponsored by McKesson, the Greater Magnolia Chamber of Commerce and Vic’s Precision Automotive.

Session Director, Dr. Lisa Meeks, planned a full day for the class, complete with insightful panels of educators from throughout the county as well as tours of The Woodlands College Park High School, Sam Houston State University – The Woodlands Center and The Woodlands Emergency Training Center.

“The world-class education offered in the area plays a key role in why many people choose to live in Montgomery County, but to hear the ins and outs from our educational leaders in the area is a real treat,” said Meeks.

The day began at The Woodlands College Park High School with an informative superintendents panel featuring superintendents from all six school districts in Montgomery County, including Dr. Don Stockton, Conroe ISD; Dr. Todd Stephens, Magnolia ISD; Dr. Beau Rees, Montgomery ISD; Dr. Genese Bell, Splendora ISD; Kenn Franklin, New Caney ISD and Tim Harkrider, Willis ISD. click here for complete story
