Spring basketball coach Michael Prejean starts every practice with defense. The emphasis on lock-down D was evident on Tuesday evening as the Lady Lions used it to upend The Woodlands 47-33 at The Woodlands High School.

“We preach defense,” Prejean said. “We start every practice with defense. We know that if our shots aren’t falling that we’ll still have our defense to keep us in games.”

Spring (6-3) limited The Woodlands to a frosty 27 percent shooting percentage as the Lady Highlanders had trouble getting things going on the offensive side at times. click here for complete story
