It wasn’t pretty but The Woodlands got it done.
The Highlanders scored a first half goal and hung on to topple Cy Lakes to open both the season and the Kilt Cup on Thursday at Willig Field at The Woodlands High School.
“It was rough,” The Woodlands coach Hans Kleinschmidt said. “We are happy with the win – it’s a good start. I know we can play a lot better, though.”
The Woodlands was outshot 13-6 and the Highlanders were limited to only three shots on goal but they made the most out of one opportunity to earn the win. click here for complete story and photos
