With a completely packed gym, Atascocita and Summer Creek clashed for the first time this season in District 16-6A play on Tuesday night.
The No. 2 Eagles held onto a slim lead at the end of the first quarter and were able to extend it every quarter en route to the 63-49 victory.
“It was just a great game, a good rivalry game and a start of many,” Atascocita head coach David Martinez said. “I thought our kids kept our composure down the stretch there and made the extra pass and got some layups to get us going. So it was a good thing.”
From the start it was balanced attack by the Eagles (22-1, 4-0 in District 16-6A play) with multiple players getting on the board. click here for complete story
