Two receivers from the Houston area – Brandon LaFell and Danny Amendola – caught touchdown passes to help New England defeat Seattle 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX. With family and friends watching at University of Phoenix Stadium, LaFell and Amendola helped quarterback Tom Brady win the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Award.
Amendola, who grew up in The Woodlands and starred at The Woodlands High School, caught a 4-yard touchdown pass that pulled the Patriots within 24-21 with 7:55 left in the game. click here for complete story
