Gracie Eason wasn’t sure why she was asked to be involved in corner kicks.The Oak Ridge freshman defender got a bit of validation for the move forward, scoring a goal off a header on corner that helped lift the Lady War Eagles to a 2-0 District 16-6A win over Conroe on Friday at Moorhead Stadium.
“(Gracie) kept asking me, ‘Why are you bringing me up, I’m no good with my head,’” Oak Ridge coach Jim Collins said. “Sure enough she scored one with her head. It was really awesome.”
Oak Ridge (3-7-2, 1-1-0) used a fast offense paced offense to attack Conroe. The Lady War Eagles outshot the Tigerettes 16-4, notching eight shots on goal in the contest. click here for complete story
