Using a second half surge to pull away from its opponent, The Woodlands girls basketball team defeated Klein Collins, 50-38, to advance to the area round of the 6A playoffs.
Coming out of the locker room at halftime, coach Dana Bruton’s squad held a six-point lead at 24-18.
In order to get its team’s offense going, the Lady Highlanders (20-13) turned to their defense, and held Klein Collins to five points on 18 percent shooting in the third quarter on their way to a 37-23 lead. click here for complete story
