Baseball: Kingwood bounces back, beats Tomball Memorial 12-1

54f150ccc69f7.imageThe second day of Kingwood High School’s weekend baseball tournament was a day of extremes: after losing to Cy Creek 9-5 in extra innings to start the day, the Mustangs redeemed the evening by routing Tomball Memorial 12-1.

“This is a learning experience,” Kingwood head baseball coach Kelly Mead said. “We played to a 4-4 tie with Cy Creek and went to extra innings and had one really bad inning; it was a decent game except that we didn’t have good approaches at the plate.
