A hit here or there, the first half of district could have gone a lot different for Atascocita.
The Eagles turning in a 2-4 mark through the first half of District 16-6A play, dropping three of the games in extra innings.
“We were in a bunch of those games,” Atascocita head coach Eric Matthews said. “We had four extra-inning games that we managed to be 1-3 in. We were close, but not close enough. Little bit frustrating, but that’s baseball. Hopefully we’ll continue to improve and learn from the adversity and it’ll make us better going into the second round.”
