After a wild and drama-filled weekend on the diamond — and the road — Oak Ridge emerged as a Region II-6A baseball finalist with a 6-2 victory over Rockwall on Saturday evening in Mumford.

Game 3 of the War Eagles’ best-of-three regional semifinal series had been scheduled for Baylor University, but heavy rain hit the Central Texas region and the game was moved to Mumford, which has an artificial turf field to allow for quick drainage time.

The War Eagles’ Addison Moss fired a one-hitter while striking out nine batters in Game 3, even though he had not pitched in about a month. click here for complete story
