Conroe’s baseball team finished 5-17 with just two victories in rugged District 16-6A this season, but second-year coach Jeff Raymer has reason to look forward to the future.

The Montgomery County Express, a 16-and-under team competing in tournament play over the weekend in Houston, posted a 5-0 record to win the tourney under coach Kevin Castleberry.

Castleberry is a former Oklahoma Sooners standout who was a third-round draft choice of the Atlanta Braves in 1989 before spending 10 years in professional baseball. click here for complete story
