Boys Basketball: Family decision brings Oliverio from Conroe to Alvin

Conroe closed its second basketball season under coach John Oliverio with a District 16-6A home game against College Park on Feb. 16.

The visiting Cavaliers had lost the key cogs from their 2014 squad, which won the District 14-5A championship with battle-tested veterans such as Keanu Andaya, Jayden Holden and Tristen Newman.

On this night, Conroe and College Park were playing strictly for pride. Both teams quickly fell out of the 16-6A race. But one squad showed a lot of mental toughness when it counted. click here for complete story
