Conroe’s Daryl Mason meets with his new team
Conroe football coach Robert Walker had planned to introduce the school’s new boys basketball coach, Daryl Mason, to the media on Wednesday.
But after a team meeting with his new players ran a little long, Walker said he and Mason were headed to Conroe ISD human resources, scuttling the planned media gathering.
“(Mason) just got caught up visiting with the players,” Walker said.
The Courier saw one of the Tigers’ move-in players, former Cleveland, Texas forward Marcus Keyster, in the lobby of the high school at about noon. The 6-foot-7 Keyser said he’s “excited” about joining the Tigers, who finished 16-16 overall last season while going 3-9 in District 16-6A. click here for complete story
