Baseball: James Dillard named new Woodlands Strykers head coach

James Dillard, who also currently coaches the Magnolia West Mustangs, takes over Stryker coaching duties from John Villarreal.
James Dillard, who also currently coaches the Magnolia West Mustangs, takes over Stryker coaching duties from John Villarreal.

On the eve of the Texas Collegiate League All-Star game in Victoria, the fifth place Woodlands Strykers made a change in the coaching ranks.

John Villarreal, the head coach since April 2013, will remain with the team as Assistant General Manager while James Dillard gets the nod to coach the team the rest of this season.

Dillard is a fourth-year baseball coach at Magnolia West where he will remain when school starts. click here for complete story
