A 52-year-old Conroe man is facing a felony theft charge after allegedly stealing a woman’s purse in The Woodlands.

Robert Thomas Starke is being held at the Montgomery County Jail for the alleged theft of property and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.

Each charge carries a $3,000 bond, according to jail records.

Deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Lake Woodlands Drive about 11: 20 a.m. Saturday in reference to a man reportedly behind a business along a wooded area, searching through a purse, placing items from the purse into his pockets and then discarding the purse in the wooded area. click here for complete story
