Water Polo at the Woodlands program is growing strong

Few people have ever even heard about Water Polo and fewer still have ever seen a match. So don’t feel too bad if you didn’t know The Woodlands High School had a Water Polo Team, or that the Highlanders have one of the best programs in the State.

The team won’t hold it against you. Actually not too many of them knew about Water Polo until they joined the team.

“Originally I was just a soccer player,” The Woodlands High School senior Cole Pollina said. “My brother could never really find a sport, he was always hopping around and couldn’t find something that suited him well. So, he started going to more exotic sports, like lacrosse. And then at some point we found water polo. I had always swam before, but like most people we’d never really heard of water polo.”

Like Pollina, Water Polo wasn’t always on Heather Clark’s radar either. click here for complete story
