With more encouragement for ladies to run, swim, play, etc., like a girl, it’s no wonder more female students are opting to take on athletic challenges.

The Woodlands High School has experienced an increase in girls who participate in athletics, and to accommodate the program’s growth phase one of the project to expand the girls’ locker room is underway.

“The Woodlands High School Locker Room addition ins schedules to be completed for the 2016-17 school year,” Director of Planning and Construction Easy Foster said. “The construction planning for this project has been ongoing for the past eight months.”

Phase one consists of a $402,747 project that will make up for parking that would otherwise be lost in the expansion. The new lot is underway, and, according to The Woodlands High School’s website, the deadline to sign up for a parking space ended August 3 and will reopen on August 17 for those who still wish to obtain a space. click here for complete story
