After an 0-2 start, dropping games to Katy and Klein Collins, no one hit the panic button in Kingwood, but rather put their heads down and pushed forward.

The Mustangs (2-2) closed out non-district play rattling off a pair of come-from-behind victories against Friendswood, 35-34, and Eisenhower, 20-12, giving them momentum heading into District 16-6A play.
“I think confidence wise it’s momentum,” Kingwood coach Barry Campbell said. “It just reassures our guys that they are doing what they’re supposed to be doing and they’re seeing improvement every week. That’s where that falls into place.”
Kingwood opens district play against Oak Ridge (3-1), which has notched three-straight victories after a season-opening loss to Morton Ranch. click here for complete story
