It wasn’t an ideal situation for Oak Ridge and Kingwood to start out District 16-6A play with a game primarily played by backup quarterbacks.

Kingwood junior Dawson Trudell was already out coming into Saturday night’s game with a back injury and Oak Ridge senior Braden Letney soon followed after receiving a hit on the War Eagles’ first drive when he completed a pass to Kyle Townsend.
