Woodlands man arrested in Memorial Villages car burglaries case

The assistance of a resident in the Memorial Villages has helped police nab their man.

Last Thursday, officers arrested 27-year-old Grant A. Burns for a number of burglary cases in the area after a tip by one of the residents who saw Burns looking into vehicles with a flashlight.

Burns, from The Woodlands area, was arrested and jailed at MVPD and then transported to Harris County Jail on Friday morning.

His father, Neil Burns, was the Democratic congressional candidate in 2012 in a failed attempt to unseat incumbent Republican Kevin Brady. When contacted at his home a day after the arrest, Burns said he had just learned of the arrest and had no statement. click here for complete story
