The Summer Creek Bulldogs broke a barrier. They won their first playoff game in their first year under coach James Bailey, who led them to a 65-59 win over Dekaney last season.
Now, with the ceiling removed, the sky’s the limit for the program. “It gives us huge momentum because we overcame a barrier, where guys had this mythical, we-can’t-get-out-of-the-first-round attitude,” Bailey said.
“We surpassed that, and now the guys who are holdovers have the challenge of being better than the guys before them … and that creates tradition that hopefully, one day, leads us to a state championship.” click here for complete story
