When the month of December commenced last year, The Woodlands Highlanders were off to a decent start to the season with five wins, three of which were by three points or less.

This year’s start has been even better.
With a championship run at the New Caney ISD Tournament over a week ago and then the same result this past weekend at the Benchmark Bank Thanksgiving Classic, the Highlanders are riding high at 9-2 through two weeks of play.
“(I’m) very pleased,” TWHS coach Dale Reed said Saturday night”.
The Woodlands defeated Willis, La Marque, Katy, Nederland and then Alvin to win the New Caney ISD championship before taking wins against Northbrook, Tomball Memorial, North Forest and Fort Bend Elkins on its home floor to lift the trophy Saturday night. click here for complete story
