
More than 30 schools sent wrestlers to The Woodlands High School’s two-day tournament, and the extravaganza’s opening rounds Friday evening had something for everyone.
There were lightning-quick girls wrestlers, strapping boys competitors, makeshift training areas all over the place, fans wandering in all directions and coaches moving from station to station for several hours.
There were volunteers lending a hand with the hospitality room and concession stands, an expo for interested competitors and fans and an adjacent gymnastics room for serious wrestlers to meditate, brood or do whatever they wanted to do before hustling onto the mat. click here for complete story
