Joining extracurricular activities in school is a good way to meet new people and learn time management, and JROTC is one example of this.
College Park High School’s Marine Corps JROTC program is a little over a year old now, and the cadets are acquiring skills that will help them later in life, regardless of their plans beyond high school.
“We try to set the example of what you’d want out of a young man or woman,” College Park Marine Corps JROTC Instructor Sgt. Major Christopher Combs said.
After serving in the Marine Corps for 22 years, Sgt. Maj. Combs officially retired in 2014 and moved to Texas to become a JROTC instructor at College Park.
