Tuesday’s District 16-6A showdown between Oak Ridge and Conroe was a gritty, physical game. When the dust settled, coach Daryl Mason the Tigers managed to scratch out a 63-60 win over the War Eagles.

“It was a district battle,” Mason said. “District is going to be tough. I feel like we came to play, but we are still missing that district urgency — we’ll take the win though.”

Conroe (14-6, 1-1) was led by Jay Lewis who scored 19 points on 40 percent shooting with four rebounds, four assists and two steals. Click here for complete story
