Boys Soccer: War Eagles ready for second shot at playoffs under Glick

Oak Ridge head coach Gareth Glick watches his team play during a Region II-6A bi-district playoff game against Wesfield in 2015.

By defeating Summer Creek 4-0 in its final district match of the season, Oak Ridge punched its ticket to the playoffs. While continuing into the postseason is a big deal on its own, what’s even more meaningful is that it marks the second consecutive season the War Eagles have qualified.

This comes after Oak Ridge did not reach the playoffs once from 2004 to 2014. The War Eagles (11-6-3, 5-4-3) will take on Klein Forest at 7 p.m. tonight at Tomball Memorial High School. click here for complete story
