Theater: Woodlands High to present ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’

The full production will be on view Nov. 7-9 at the school, said director Matthew Peters. The show is one of 45 entries in the 12th annual Tommy Tune Awards, a Theatre Under the Stars program that honors excellence in high school musical theater in the Houston area.

Starring as Millie, who flees small-town Kansas for New York City and the goal of marrying for money is Devin Cherry, who was a 2013 nominee for a Tommy Tune Award for best supporting actress as Ado Annie in last season’s “Oklahoma!”
