Alden Bridge resident creates seasonal venues through his company, Ice Rink Events

Michael Clayton says people are often surprised to learn that the seasonal ice-skating rinks he has installs around the world come from Texas. His company, Ice Rinks Events, is one of the nation’s top ice rink builders and operators – and its home base is in The Woodlands.

Something he loved | Ice Rink Events built the Bryant Park ice skating rink in New York City, the Navy Pier rink in Chicago and the Del Coronado rink on the beach in San Diego. Clayton considers the ice rink at downtown Houston’s Discovery Green to be his flagship project.

He also opened the ice rink in The Woodlands, which is now under the operation of the The Woodlands Conventionand Visitor’s Bureau.
