The Woodlands scored a goal in each half to subdue Conroe 2-0 in a spirited District 14-5A opener on Friday night at Buddy Moorhead Memorial Stadium. The Lady Highlanders dominated possession and spent much of the first half in the attacking third, but the Tigerettes were equal to the task — until a corner kick in the 23rd minute. Conroe blocked the initial chance after Sabrina Marx’s delivery, but freshman Kylie Dodson fired the loose ball into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead. click here for complete story
