Six Montgomery County athletes won wrestling titles at the Region III tournament on Saturday at the Richard E. Berry Educational Support Center. With top-four finishes, several more secured their spots in the UIL State Tournament set for Feb. 14-15 at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland. The Woodlands boys, who finished fifth as a team with 103.5 points, claimed two individual championships with Skyler Franks (31-2) and Jacob Weingrad (33-4) taking gold in the 120- and 195-pound weight classes, respectively. click here for complete story
