Conroe High School is celebrating 100 years of high school football this season and special guests are scheduled to appear at each home game this year, according to Conroe ISD administrators.
“In anticipation of our celebrating this once in a lifetime event, we want to make sure that everyone who is and has been a part of those years is shown the appreciation that makes Conroe High School a “cut above the rest,” said Dr. Mark Weatherly, Conroe High principal. “We will be honoring different eras on certain nights and we would like to get as many people there to be honored as possible.”
At tonight’s first home game at Buddy Moorhead Memorial Stadium against Bryan, members of the football teams from 1960 and 1965 will be honored with a special presentation during the first half. Former players are coming into town from California, Florida, Missouri and all over the state. click here for complete story
