
Playing through the pain is something that athletes have come to be known for doing – twisted ankles, bumps, bruises and even the occasional upset stomach.
When Summer Creek needed a pair of what ended up being game-winning free throws with 0.4 seconds left on the clock on Tuesday against Kingwood, they turned to senior Sugar Young.
“That I’ve done it before so it was nothing,” Young said about her thoughts before taking the shots. “At times when your teams needs you you step up and I’ve been put in this situation before. I’ve been here a long time so I was a little nervous, but I knew I had it.”
