Romello Wilbert might be a freshman but doesn’t mean that he’ll let nerves get to him.
The Highlander guard scored all eight of his team’s points in overtime to help left The Woodlands past rival College Park 55-51 on Friday night at College Park High School.
“(Romello) is the real deal,” The Woodlands coach Dale Reed said. “He’s a warrior. He wants to get better. This was a big step for him tonight but he still has a lot of growth to do. … Tonight you just saw a glimpse of what he’s capable of.”
Wilbert finished tied for the team lead with 16 points. He stole a College Park pass with 15 seconds left in overtime only to covert the fastbreak and ultimately seal the game for the Highlanders. click here for complete story
