Summer Creek is in for another challenging season in District 16-6A, but it’s definitely not without talent.

Tight end Zarrian Holcombe is among the most talented players in the state. The senior Texas A&M pledge was named to Dave Campbell’sTexas Football magazine’s third-team Super Team Offense.

“That’s great for him,” coach Brian Ford said. “I don’t really think about that stuff a whole lot, but I’m not surprised. He was so highly recruited.”

Holcombe, a 6-6, 220-pound tight end, is entering his third year. He didn’t see much time as a sophomore, but his potential was on display last season, with 14 receptions for 261 yards and two touchdowns. click here for complete story
