It was a muddy, wet and cold day at Old Settlers Park for the UIL Cross Country State Championships. And it didn’t have any affect at all on The Woodlands boys team in the 6A championship race.

The Highlanders attacked the three-mile course and showed strength in numbers at the front of the pack.
With the first place finisher in senior Daniel Golden, the second place finisher in junior Noah Wells and five total runners in the Top-11, the Highlanders easily won their 18th state title as a team with 24 points while Southlake Carroll, the four-time defending state champions, finished second with 103 points. click here for complete story and photo gallery
