The Woodlands volleyball coach Terri Wade wasn’t surprised that her team got off to a big of a sluggish start Friday evening in the UIL Region II-6A semifinals.

Pearce took the first set, but the Lady Highlanders earned the next three to advance to the regional final 21-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-21 at Sam Houston State University’s Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum.

“Anybody that’s been watching us knows that we kind of start slow,” Wade said. “But as long as we get the momentum back, I’m okay with that.”

Pearce took The Woodlands to five sets in last year’s region final round. The Lady Mustangs’ season ended a round sooner this time around in another gritty match. click here for complete story
