
The Houston metropolitan area is arguably the most competitive and talent-filled area in the country for high school basketball. And among the plethora of high-talent teams and future basketball stars, one school stands out. Atascocita High School opened less than a decade ago in Humble, TX and now the Atascocita Eagles have one of the most elite basketball programs in the country.
Last season, Atascocita advanced to the Texas regional basketball finals, falling to unranked Irving MacArthur last March in a surprising upset. The Eagles retain eight regular players from their state 6A-II runner-up team. This season, Coach Martinez and his team expect bigger and better things. “Our expectation is to win a state championship and to do whatever it takes to win one,” said junior Power Forward Fabian White, who transferred from Kingwood High School over the summer. click here for complete story
