The Conroe ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Jill Malpass as the new principal of The Woodlands High School Ninth Grade Campus at the Board meeting on Tuesday, December 15, 2015.

Jill has been in education for 22 years, and was a math teacher at York Junior High School and The Woodlands High School. For the past five years, Jill has served as an assistant principal of The Woodlands High School.

In her statement to the Board, Jill remarked, “Thank you so much for your vote of confidence. I am thrilled to be named the principal of the ninth grade campus. I would also like to recognize a couple of folks who are here that have helped me all along the way- giving me multiple leadership opportunities, and [they] would be Dr. Don Stockton and Mr. Gregg Colschen. Thank you.” She also introduced the members of her family who were present at the meeting.

The position at The Woodlands High School Ninth Grade Campus became available after Dr. Chris Povich was named principal at York Junior High.  York Junior High principal, Jim Kacur, was recently named assistant superintendent of secondary education for CISD.
