There was no shortage of scoring opportunities for College Park on Friday night. And while there was certainly potential for a wider margin of victory, the Cavaliers gladly walked away from Woodforest Bank Stadium with a 2-0 victory over Summer Creek.
“For us, it’s about going through and realizing we’re a good team,” said College Park coach John Owens, who welcomed a new baby girl, Samantha Ray, to the world earlier this week. “This isn’t just a streak of momentum. This is who we are. We stayed focused, we laid out a game plan, and we executed it all the way through.”
College Park (7-10-3, 5-3-2) leapfrogged Oak Ridge in the District 16-6A standings with the win, securing three more points for a total of 17 — putting the Cavs in a tie with Kingwood for second. click here for complete story
