Downtown Cajun Catfish Festival expands music, Kidz Zone access

More music, better family access and of course, Cajun food, highlight just some of the new changes at this year’s 2013 Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival.

As the festival’s 24th edition takes over downtown Conroe, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, organizers have beefed up the number of major festival music acts throughout all three days, eliminated admission into the festival’s Kidz Zone, and added special events, including bringing back the long dormant Mr. & Mrs. Catfish Pageant, last crowned in the mid-1990s.
